Ingenii Search are currently recruiting for Privacy Manager within the Privacy Team will play a pivotal role in ensuring privacy compliance across the organisation. This highly visible and crucial position involves collaboration with various business units on all aspects of privacy compliance, focusing primarily on the UK and Ireland. Additionally, as the integration with the global parent company continues, opportunities will arise to work with Privacy colleagues across the UK, Europe, APAC region, Canada, and the US, supporting broader business integration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a privacy subject matter expert, supporting the DPOs and Head of Data Protection for the UK. Provide advice and support predominantly for the UK and Ireland, extending to other entities and jurisdictions as necessary.
* Evaluate projects, initiatives, products, and services for privacy compliance. Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy risk assessments, advise on privacy by design requirements, and identify and mitigate privacy risks.
* Assist in maintaining and enhancing the Global Privacy Program within the region. Ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws, regulations, and internal policy requirements, fostering a corporate culture that respects privacy and builds trust with clients and employees.
* Aid the region's DPOs with all aspects of their regulatory tasks, representing and deputizing for them as required.
* Collaborate with business areas to identify, document, and track their privacy risks. Recommend actions to address these risks and report on the risk position through formal organizational risk management processes.
* Support the firm in developing and maintaining its Record of Processing Activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrate a strong privacy background, solid privacy experience, and an ethical approach to data use.
* Possess good technical knowledge of data protection laws, regulations, and practices in the UK and/or Ireland, and experience applying these in practice, including communication with privacy regulators and clients.
* Experience delivering cross-company and/or jurisdiction privacy programs/initiatives is preferred. Relevant experience in Financial Services within a large multi-national company is desirable but not essential.
* Experience in formal risk management is preferred.
* Higher-level qualifications such as A Levels or a Degree (or equivalent) are desirable. A privacy qualification (such as CIPP/E or Practitioner Certificate) is highly desirable.
