Cash and Banking Assistant Location: Tachbrook Park Type: Full-time, Permanent The Main Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cash and Banking Assistant to join our team. The main purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient daily cash allocation, resolve queries, and provide support to the Cash Accountant. You will work closely with internal teams and external customers to address allocation issues and other cash-related queries. In addition to your daily duties, you will provide essential assistance with anniversary billing refunds, support the Cash team’s inbox, and assist with the resolution of cases in Salesforce. This is a dynamic and varied role, providing you with opportunities to enhance your skills while contributing to the smooth operation of the Cash team. Key Responsibilities: Daily processing of unallocated cash on customer ledgers, ensuring accuracy and correct data entry. Handle and resolve data entry queries, ensuring smooth resolution. Assist with managing the Cash enquiries inbox and respond to queries promptly. Support the completion of monthly anniversary billing and refund processes. Provide cover for other team members as required. Assist with remainder account investigations and other ad hoc cash team activities. Support the Cash Accountant in gathering information for internal and external audits. Suggest improvements and identify better ways of working within the team. Take accountability for health, safety, security, and the environment in accordance with Calor’s policies. Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge: Essential: A minimum of grade C/4 in English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel (intermediate level minimum). Strong time management and workload prioritisation skills. Ability to resolve discrepancies effectively. Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally. Desirable: Experience using SAP. Familiarity with Salesforce for case management. Experience working with large data sets.
