Job summary INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY Clinical Effectiveness & Saving Babies Lives Midwife Band 7 - 37.5 Hours available The post holder will maintain oversight of the development of clinical guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and patient information and will work alongside the Quality & Safety Leads, Quality & Safety Midwives, Practice Development Midwife, Obstetric colleagues and other lead Midwives and Specialist Midwives. Take a leading role in the oversight of Service Audits and auditing practice, analysis of results and preparing reports for presentation on developing practice. The post-holder will also take the lead for Saving Babies Lives' Care Bundle programme of work. Together with other Specialist Lead Midwives, ensure compliance is achieved; that evidence is collated and uploaded within the timeframes set and provide assurance to the Service, the Trust Board, the LMNS and to NHS England that all standards are met. The post-holder will be a key member of the Maternity Guidelines Group (MAGIG) and the Audit Group (MQIP). Support and direct staff across the Trust in the identification and collation of evidence to support assessment of the standards within Maternity & Neonatal Services, including NICE and RCoG Guidance and CQC standards. Main duties of the job Midwifery lead for NCIC's Perinatal guidelines and audits. Ensuring that guidelines are compliant with Trust, regional and national standards, NICE and RCOG guidance. Midwifery lead for the Maternity Audit programme, ensuring key audits are included within the annual audit programme, to include monitoring of the audit progress and by supporting key stakeholders throughout the process of the audit. To manage and facilitate the Saving Babies Lives programme of work within the Trust.
