WHAT TO EXPECT:
Global Manufacturing Engineering-Logistics is a growing department, and the team has a great opportunity for an individual to join them.
The purpose of this role is to develop and execute Logistics solutions & automation strategies across JLR manufacturing facilities and operations to support international and local programmes.
You will bring your skills and knowledge to support the development and execution of projects to ensure logistics operations are competitive in performance and value.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Support development of warehousing and logistics solutions to improve benchmark CPU/HPU performance through data analysis, identifying process waste, proposing solutions, and benchmarking best practices.
* Manage delivery of defined project elements in line with SQCDME principles.
* Liaise with stakeholders (Material Flow & Logistics Providers) to optimize end-to-end processes and solutions, define solution requirements, review headcount requirements (MTM), support IT system implementations (SAP EWM, etc.), and ensure data accuracy in project inputs.
* Generate layouts and process flows.
* Create RFQs and manage the process to nomination.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
* Previous experience in Logistics.
* Understanding of logistics flows, processes, and principles of optimization.
* Project management experience, especially in delivering small projects.
* Strong analytical skills and statistical ability.
* Proficient IT skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
