The ongoing growth and ambitious plans of the company have led to the creation of a new ‘buyer’ role in the procurement function. This will be a broad role with a great deal of variety and the responsibilities will include:
* Supporting and implementing a procurement strategy.
* Conducting supplier negotiations to secure best price, quantity, delivery, and terms.
* Supporting and leading tenders, projects, implementing procedures, and running meetings.
* Compiling and analysing data related to purchasing activity to support the decision-making.
* Supporting New Product Development, helping to bring products from concept to market.
* Monitoring and managing supplier performance, including quality and delivery.
