Due to major, international project wins, they areseekingto expand their team and require and experienced Design Engineer to design, specify and price structurally sound products in response to client inquiries. This role requires meeting client expectations by providingtimelyresponses to queries,utilisingall available information, incorporating insights from design and site meetings, and ensuring site delivery deadlines are met. Additionally, you will need to communicate effectively during handover meetings with your assigned project team to ensureaccurateandtimelyproduction of drawings in line with the design specifications. Key Responsibilities and Duties Promote a strong health and safety culture in the workplace,demonstratingexemplary personal safety practices and addressing unsafebehaviours. Prepareaccurate, competitive, and detailed technical schedules forcompanySupport products, collaborating with an internal structural engineering team. Generate cost variations post-order to support live project requirements. Maintain proactive communication with customers via phone and email to build and strengthen key relationships. Provide basic calculations in compliance with current industry standards for all specified products. Conduct thorough handovers to the project team upon order receipt. Deliver outstanding customer service by attending office meetings and site visits to enhance client relationships, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to product development. Present product training sessions for both staff and customers. Facilitate on-site installation training for customers when necessary. Adapt to changes in market conditions and business needs by undertaking additional relevant tasks as required. Key Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2 years' experience in a construction estimating or technical role. Ability to interpret construction drawings and efficiently extract relevant information. Strong understanding of the construction process. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational abilities. Commercial awareness and business acumen. Target-driven and ambitious mindset. Experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD is desirable.
