PBH is a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit that includes a Child and Young Peoples Place of Safety.The unit cares for young people aged 12-17 who require care in an GAU setting. The Acute Care Pathway covers crisis assessment in the acute hospital, EIP Service, iTASC provision, Home Treatment Team and Crisis Community Assessment and supports the management of risk and support of young people and families in their own home. Main duties of the job The Modern Matron provides professional leadership to the CAMHS Tier 4 in-patient unit, Childrens Young People's Place of Safety and the Acute Care Pathway that sit within the Children, Young People and Families Service. The post holder provides line management and support to the unit/ward/team managers as appropriate with the support of the Directorate Manager. Demonstrate a sound knowledge and provide a clear vision to the strategic direction of identified clinical services. Ensuring excellence in service delivery and clinical governance in conjunction with other nursing, allied health professionals and medical leaders. Work with South West Provider Collaborative Case Managers, Contract leads and quality leads to ensure the care delivered is in line with the Tier 4 specification and the access and referrals process. Provide leadership to the Acute Care Pathway to ensure it works collaboratively with the referral and admission and discharge process to and from Tier 4 inpatient facilities and strives to provide care in the home to prevent admission wherever possible.
