Carlisle United Football Club are looking for an Academy Player Care Lead to develop and deliver a comprehensive player care package for our U9 to U18 players. You must have a modern approach to development and be forward thinking. Due to the nature of the Academy, this role includes working some weekends and evenings. About The Candidate Main roles and responsibilities – Be responsible for the management and delivery of the personal development and Life Skills Plan for Academy players ( U9 to U18) Responsible for the EDI programme within the Academy Create and deliver mental and emotional wellbeing sessions for players at each age group Responsible for player and parent voice within the Academy Deliver player and parent inductions alongside other Academy staff Implement and deliver an Induction and Transition Strategy Deliver CPD to Academy staff on player care to raise awareness and further help implement the strategy that will be put in place Provide appropriate levels of support and care for players during and beyond their time in the Academy Monitor and support trialists and new players transitioning into the Academy. Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team Maintain proper records and reports Attend and play an active role in Academy Management Team meetings Any other duties as required within the reasonable demands of this role Be trustworthy and adhere to Club’s code of conduct Essential qualifications & experience requirements Previous experience of working with children/young people Previous experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team environment Enhanced DBS Criminal Records certification Valid driving licence Approachable, and builds rapport with players and parents quickly and authentically Excellent Communication, organisational and management skills Competent in all MS Office packages with experience of recording and reporting information. Desirable qualifications Previous experience of working within a football Academy and knowledge of EPPP and audit process. FA safeguarding qualification Understanding of EPPP requirements and CASA The position is salaried and will be dependent upon experience About The Club Carlisle United Football Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
