Our client, a family style construction based company are looking for a permanent Assistant Buyer to join their established team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for: Building, maintaining and managing supplier relationships ensuring good lines of communications. Undertaking supplier negotiations Placing purchase orders with suppliers and managing them t ensure the goods/services are delivered in a timely manner. Communicating any supplier issues to operations department Responsible for the day to day management of the various procurement databases Planning and preparing forward import ores based on forecast depot requirements. Preparing cost analysis reports on procurement process activities to allow the Procurement Manager o make informed choices. Assisting the accounts department in the posting of invoices and taking a lead role in the resolving of invoice and account discrepancies Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested. Ideally the successful candidate will poses the following skills and attributes: Ability to work independently as well as part of a close knit team demonstrating the ability to build good working relationships Good analytically skills with excellent planning skills Strong IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint an outlook Valid UK Driving Licence Must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small close-knit team.
