The Desktop team provide a responsive service undertaking day to day support of desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals. You will be responsible for the setup and installation of new hardware/software as well as troubleshooting and investigation into a variety of desktop related incidents and service requests.
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton consists of 5 busy hospitals which provide a wide range of acute and emergency health services. The care we provide is paramount and it is essential that when needed, our doctors and nurses can rely on our IT systems to help support their treatment of patients.
You will be confident in your IT skills and be able to demonstrate experience in an IT support services environment. Knowledge of clinical IT systems, particularly Meditech and Lorenzo are desirable, and you should have a good understanding of National Information Security Requirements.

Provide 2nd line support for the Trust IT systems, desktop devices and peripherals within the hospital and at off-site locations.
To support the delivery of IT systems and services in the hospital and community assisting with customer support, system training and technical queries.
Liaise with both internal and external agencies for the installation, configuration and maintenance of new and current systems.
