Your Role as an EYFS Teaching Assistant
As an EYFS TA, you will be at the heart of early childhood education, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will support the academic and emotional development of young learners, ensuring they build a strong foundation for their future education.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage & Inspire Assist in fun and interactive learning activities that captivate young minds.
* Support Learning Provide one-on-one and small group support to help children thrive.
* Monitor & Adapt Observe progress, offer feedback, and tailor support to individual needs.
* Collaborate Work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure holistic development.
* Create a Welcoming Space Foster a warm and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.
* Encourage Growth Use creative teaching methods to nurture curiosity and confidence.
* Track Progress Maintain records of student achievements and communicate updates to teachers and families.
What Were Looking For
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
* Understanding of the unique learning and developmental needs of young children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children.
* Relevant early years qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).

* An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
