The Role
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) Note: Additional hours, including some evenings & weekends, will be required.
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and manage a skilled team, ensuring that our premises and facilities are maintained to meet the highest standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining the safety, functionality and aesthetics of our buildings while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Focus (35%)
* Maintain office accommodation and function rooms to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
Operational Excellence (40%)
* Ensure health and safety standards are upheld, particularly in high-risk environments.
* Supervise and allocate work for the maintenance team.
* Coordinate maintenance for events, including evenings and weekends.
* Liaise with contractors for repairs and ensure safety-critical equipment is operational.
* Oversee the efficient operation of the Building Management System (BMS).
Team Leadership (20%)
* Identify skills gaps and implement training plans.
* Foster clear communication within the team and across departments.
* Provide feedback on maintenance standards and collaborate on improvement programs.
Financial Management (5%)
* Implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure best value for purchases.
* Manage overtime and monitor budget allocations effectively.
What We’re Looking for in You
We’re seeking a proactive and dedicated individual with a proven track record in building maintenance and team supervision.
Key qualifications and skills include:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a trade discipline.
* City & Guilds Level 1 & 2 in a trade discipline.
* CSCS Card and good knowledge of BMS systems.
* Experience supervising a team of maintenance engineers.
* Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
* Physically fit for tasks such as accessing roof levels and voids.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
