Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the mechanical design aspects of diverse projects, ensuring that all engineering solutions meet the highest standards of functionality, sustainability, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the mechanical design process from concept through to completion on a variety of projects including Education, Commercial, and Residential.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and practical design solutions.
3. Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client specifications.
4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
5. Manage and review project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
6. Attend site visits and client meetings to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is preferred but not essential.
3. Proven experience in mechanical design within the building services industry.
4. Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and sustainable design practices.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
6. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
