Head of Innovation & Work Based Learning
£64,887 per annum
Location: Fife
Are you passionate about driving innovation in education and building bridges between the classroom and the workplace? We are seeking a creative, experienced and dynamic Head of Innovation & Work-Based Learning to lead transformative education and skills projects that enhance the quality and relevance of learning and assessment at Fife College. This role will champion high-quality work-based learning, innovative educational initiatives, fostering partnerships with industry and public sector organisations to secure funding to support our strategic educational portfolio of courses.
The Role
Working closely with the Assistant Principal: Enterprise & Partnerships and external stakeholders, you will develop a programme of cross academic school projects that will deliver new capability for the College to support achievement of its Strategy aligned to relevant national and regional priorities. You will play a key role in ensuring success in securing external funding and leading pilot projects from concept into our mainstream portfolio.
You will ensure the College's vocational and work-based learning assessment delivery is responsive to industry demands and provides students with practical, hands-on experience that enhances their employability and their success.
Key responsibility includes: working closely with academic colleagues and project partners, leading the development and implementation of work-based learning and assessment across the College; collaboration and stake-holder management to create and manage projects that deliver a step-change in the educational opportunities the College can offer; oversee the quality assurance of work-based learning initiatives ensuring that they meet the highest standards.
Qualifications and Experience - what we’re looking for:
* Educated to degree level or with demonstrable relevant professional experience at SCQF level 9 or above.
* Proven experience in project management and work-based learning.
* Strong understanding of funding streams in the business, education and skills sector.
* Proven experience of working with stakeholders and partners to drive innovation in a training and development portfolio.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
