Job Description
To work as instructed by the workshop Manager and assist with Crane with servicing, repairs and breakdown maintenance of cranes to ensure agreed service levels and standards are achieved and maintained in a timely manner.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. A minimum of 5 years working within the crane industry.
2. Apprenticeship served in either electrics/mechanics or hydraulics/mechanics.
3. Current valid UK driving licence.
4. Assist & work alongside workshop staff to ensure duties are being carried out efficiently and accurately.
5. Assist & work alongside workshop staff with preventative maintenance and servicing for all cranes.
6. Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
7. Assist in housekeeping and keeping the mechanical workshops and surrounds tidy.
8. Assist with programming the service schedule for all depot fleet.
9. Assist with maintaining daily records of the plant and equipment.
10. Assist with the planning and procurement of materials and consumables as required.
11. Perform servicing and repairs on cranes within the workshop.
12. Accurately maintain service records for each crane detailing all faults, repairs, service dates, etc.
13. Provide technical advice to ensure shortest possible downtime for vehicles.
14. Maintain health and safety standards at all times.
15. Schedule machine/vehicle time with the operations department in order to carry out repairs and/or maintenance to equipment.
16. Secure necessary materials and parts for the work in good time, ordering/chasing from suppliers if necessary.
17. Continually seek to improve the way in which the role operates within the business to achieve its objectives.
18. Undertake other duties that management may reasonably request.
