Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at a prestigious pharmaceutical site in Cambridge. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing both the shift and day teams, comprising a total of 30 talented individuals within the Facilities Management (FM) sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers and technicians, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of critical facilities infrastructure.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to implement and maintain high standards of facility management, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Plan and oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to optimize facility performance and minimize downtime.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
* Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence among team members through training, mentorship, and performance management.
* Manage budgetary responsibilities, including forecasting and cost control measures, to meet financial targets.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a managerial role within Facilities Management, ideally within a pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment.
* Strong technical background in engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, or HVAC), with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to facilities management and safety standards.
* Qualifications up to standard for a critical site. (NVQ Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical)
