Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified Gas and Plumbing Engineer to handle installations, repairs, and maintenance of gas and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both gas and plumbing systems, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, heating systems, and plumbing fixtures (e.g., boilers, radiators, sinks, toilets, and pipes).
2. Conduct safety checks to ensure gas installations meet industry regulations.
3. Diagnose and resolve gas and plumbing-related faults efficiently.
4. Perform routine maintenance, emergency callouts, and installation projects.
5. Accurately document work completed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
6. Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients about work performed.
7. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
8. Collaborate with other engineers and support staff on larger projects when necessary.
Requirements:
1. Relevant qualifications, such as Gas Safe registration (essential).
2. Experience in gas installation, maintenance, and repair (minimum 3 years preferred).
3. Strong knowledge of gas safety standards and regulations.
4. Full UK driving license (or relevant license for your location).
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and customer service skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Additional qualifications, such as electrical or plumbing certification.
Working Conditions:
1. You will typically work in residential and commercial properties undergoing gas and/or plumbing works.
2. The job may involve working indoors or outdoors, depending on the project requirements and weather conditions.
Salary starting from £35,000 based on experience.
