Unqualified Teacher – High Peak
Are you looking to start your career in teaching but don’t yet have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)? This is a fantastic opportunity for an Unqualified Teacher to join a secondary school in the High Peak area. You will be delivering lessons in various subjects, following lesson plans and helping students make progress.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and productive
* Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, focused learning environment
* Provide assistance to students as needed, helping them with classwork and assignments
* Maintain students' focus on the task at hand and manage disruptions effectively
* Support teachers with administrative tasks, including marking and feedback, where required
Essential Criteria:
* Strong subject knowledge (ideally in a subject area you are passionate about)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* An interest in pursuing a career in teaching
* The ability to work independently and manage a classroom
* A degree or equivalent qualification (desirable, not essential)

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: From £85 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
