The post holder will:
1. Contribute to providing a planned maintenance programme.
2. Manage projects and specification of minor capital projects (max £1-2m) including seeking planning (including Listed Building Consent) and building control consent, awarding, and managing build contracts.
3. Manage responsive and remedial repairs by appointing contractors to undertake minor repairs, including specification and seeking consents for repairs if necessary.
4. Secure advice, calculation, and specification of mechanical and electrical systems for replacement and renewal or supply to new capital projects.
5. Specify, award contracts, and manage the supply of new M and E systems for new construction.
6. Secure appropriate advice and calculation of replacement systems to enable bidding for Public Sector decarbonisation and contribute to Net Zero targets.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working as a surveyor.
2. Local government / Housing experience.
Contract:
Hybrid with borough-wide site visits as needed.
