A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Branch Manager to work for a distributor of products for trade.
Working within the depot, you will take a proactive role in managing branch operations, increasing sales, and exceeding customer expectations. This is a key role providing the branch with its continued commitment to providing a high-quality service to customers and ensuring all current and future sales opportunities are maximized.
The Role
1. Building strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and retain business.
2. Communicate company plans, goals, and objectives to the team.
3. Supporting the Branch Manager with running the branch and providing support and leadership for the branch team.
4. Working with the Branch Manager in the execution of the Sales plan for the branch.
5. Overseeing and leading the operations side of the branch ensuring transport and yard is operating efficiently to provide the best experience for the customer.
6. Following all health and safety guidelines ensuring the branch is a safe environment for both colleagues and customers.
Experience Required
1. Previous supervisory experience within a trade/distribution/retail environment.
2. Customer-focused with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both suppliers and customers.
3. Strong organizational skills to ensure daily operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
4. Sales-driven with a strong commercial awareness able to drive sales in the branch.
5. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage others and deal effectively with any issues that arise.
6. You should be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work as well as hard-working and reliable.
