The Opportunity
A leading global law firm is seeking an Investment Management Associate (1-3 PQE) to join its European Investment Management Group in London. The Role
As an Investment Management Associate, you will:
1. Advise on the structuring, establishment, and operation of pooled capital enterprises, including:
2. Private equity funds.
3. Real estate and infrastructure funds.
4. Credit funds and hedge funds.
5. Managed accounts.
Work on complex fund transactions, including:
1. Fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance.
2. Investor negotiations and fund-related corporate matters.
3. Strategic fund investments and joint ventures.
4. Provide sophisticated legal advice on both a pan-European and global scale.
5. Leverage your knowledge of UK and EU fund regulation to advise on fund and asset manager compliance.
6. Manage client relationships and collaborate closely with senior lawyers and partners.
7. Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and pro bono initiatives.
Key Requirements:
1. 1-3 years’ PQE in private funds work, gained at a top-tier funds practice.
2. Strong experience in:
3. Private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, or venture capital funds.
4. Fund structuring, formation, and regulatory matters.
5. Investor negotiations and fund-related transactions.
6. Knowledge of UK and EU regulation of funds and asset managers (highly desirable).
7. Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
9. A collegiate, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
10. A strong academic record and legal qualifications in the UK or a similar common law jurisdiction.
