We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Senior Income Officer to work within the Income Management Service. This role will be full-time and based at Sandwell Council House, Oldbury. Key duties of this role will be: To provide day to day support to Income Officers. To ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to manage former tenant debt and low level static current tenant debt. To manage current and former accounts in credit. To assist with the auditing of accounts recommended for write off and managing the Universal Credit Landlord portal and ‘breathing space’ scheme. We want someone who can work well as part of the team and has the motivation to promote change, efficiency and improvement for this busy service area. Essential requirements: A minimum of 2 year’s qualitative experience of working in a rent arrears recovery or similar income collection environment. Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent, please see the Personnel Specification for further details. Proven experience of delivering excellent service to customers. Proven experience of working to deadlines, prioritising and organising workloads.
