Job Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to provide administrative support to the Payroll team, ensuring weekly and monthly payrolls are processed accurately and on time. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, key responsibilities include:
1. Collating new starter, amendment, and leaver forms.
2. Attaching new employees to the monthly payrolls and managing payments/deductions.
3. Setting up new pro-rata musicians, actors, and children in payroll.
4. Handling changes such as rent, services, subsistence, and touring allowances.
5. Inputting data on basic hours, overtime, holiday, and absences.
6. Ensuring leavers are paid or deducted holiday pay.
7. Addressing payroll-related queries.
Candidate Requirements
To be suitable for this role, you should have:
1. Payroll processing experience with understanding of PAYE, tax, and national insurance.
2. Knowledge of current HMRC legislation.
3. Excellent attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
4. Numeracy skills, comfortable analyzing numerical data and proficient in Excel (formulas, sorting, summarizing).
5. Proven ability and commitment to meet deadlines.
6. Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach.
7. Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Additional Details
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Stratford-upon-Avon, with a hybrid working model (2-3 days remote per week, subject to line manager approval).
The normal hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for additional hours as needed.
