Teaching Assistant Location: Chepstow Start Date: 13 th January Pay: From £77.40 per day Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Chepstow. The primary responsibility of this role is to work 1:1 with a student with challenging behaviour. The pupil’s range in age from 11 to 16. This role involves building close relationships with pupils to help them thrive academically and socially. As a Teaching Assistant, incorporating sports into daily activities will be a key component of the role. Activities may include football, tennis, rugby, gym work, and basketball, among others. No previous experience is required, but a background in a similar environment or personal experience working with children or young people is highly valued. Sports coaches or recent graduates with a sporting background are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Provide support, guidance, and advice to groups of children with challenging behaviours. Develop and implement behaviour management strategies aligned with school policies. Monitor and record students' progress, sharing regular feedback with parents, teachers, and other professionals. Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and professionals to discuss student progress. Requirements Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply). EWC registration (or willingness to apply). Ability to provide two recent references. Right to work in the UK. Safeguarding Level 2 (provided free of charge by Teaching Personnel).
