Content Marketer – Clinical Diagnostics
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid/Remote)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Content Marketer to develop, manage, and optimise content strategies tailored to the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry. This role is crucial in driving brand awareness, generating leads, and supporting sales through high-quality, scientifically accurate content. You will work closely with product managers, scientists, and commercial teams to craft content that resonates with key stakeholders, including laboratory professionals, clinicians, researchers, and procurement specialists.
Key Responsibilities
* Content Strategy & Development – Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with commercial and branding objectives within the IVD space. Create compelling content, including white papers, case studies, blogs, website copy, social media posts, product brochures, and video scripts.
* Industry & Audience Research – Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes. Conduct research to understand customer pain points and develop persona-based content that addresses their needs.
* Digital Marketing & SEO – Optimise content for search engines (SEO) to drive organic traffic. Collaborate with digital marketing teams on content strategies for paid campaigns, email marketing, and automation workflows. Manage social media content for LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms.
* Product & Scientific Communication – Work closely with product managers and scientists to create technical content that highlights product benefits and applications. Develop training and educational materials for sales teams and distributors, ensuring all content aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., IVDR, FDA).
* Content Performance & Analytics – Monitor content performance using analytics tools such as Google Analytics or HubSpot. Optimise content based on engagement metrics and customer feedback, reporting insights and recommendations to marketing and sales leadership.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* 3-5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in the IVD, medical device, or life sciences industry.
* Strong understanding of IVD technologies, laboratory diagnostics, and clinical applications.
* Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing strategies, and content management systems (CMS).
* Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and analytics platforms.
* Familiarity with regulatory considerations for marketing IVD products (e.g., IVDR, FDA).
* Experience working with medical publications and scientific communication.
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product management, R&D, regulatory, and sales teams.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
