Div]:bg-bg-300 [&_.ignore-pre-bg>div]:bg-transparent [&_pre]:-mr-4 md:[&_pre]:-mr-9"> _]:min-w-0"> Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Chesterfield £110-£140 per day About the Role We are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our primary school in Chesterfield, working alongside our qualified teacher in a Year 1/2 class. This is a full-time position starting from January 27th, 2025, until the end of the academic year. Key Responsibilities Support teaching and learning activities in our Year 1/2 class Work collaboratively with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils Assist in creating and maintaining a stimulating learning environment Support assessment and recording of pupil progress Contribute to behavior management using positive strategies Person Specification The ideal candidate will: Hold HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification Have proven experience working in Key Stage 1 Demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills Show strong behavior management abilities Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and pupils What We Offer Competitive daily rate of £110-£140 (depending on experience) Supportive and friendly working environment Opportunity to make a real difference in children's education Regular CPD opportunities Term-time only working pattern Full-time hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
