Working hours: 0 Hours Contract Type: Casual/Relief Location: Ty Hapus This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Adult Social Services Team. We pay an attractive salary of £14.36 per hour, and offer access to training and development opportunities. We aim to provide care and support that promotes choice and independence for individuals with a learning disability and enable children and young people to experience fun with other individuals in a respite setting. The role of a Social Care Worker is to deliver care in accordance with Care and Individuals’ Personal Plans. To provide support and guidance and deliver all aspects of personal care as needed by individuals, ensuring that the persons, privacy, dignity, respect, choices, independence and self-esteem are maintained at all times. The successful applicant will need to have experience of working in a care setting, be able to adopt a motivated, committed and flexible approach to duties, this involves evening and early mornings, weekend working, sleep in and bank holidays. For the role, we ask that you have: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent as required by Social Care Wales. Or the ability and commitment to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) within a specific timescale identified by the Team Manager or equivalent qualifications as required by Social Care Wales. An understanding of the principles that underpin quality care ie promoting the well-being, voice and control of children and young people and respecting their views. Experience with children and young people with disability and complex needs who require elements of support and assistance.
