IT Manager – Full Time – Larne c£70,000 REED Technology Belfast are delighted to partner with our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, who due to continued growth and expansion are seeking to recruit a IT Manager to join their team The Role requires leadership around the provision and management of IT Support to the manufacturing business as well as collaborating with same. The role of IT Manager will entail overseeing the functionality of the IT Team by providing guidance and instruction, specifically around the activities assigned to the team to ensure efficient workflow and productivity, while addressing any performance issues, conflicts, or break downs Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for ensuring that the receipt of incident and request tickets from the business are addressed in a timely fashion, tackling those that are most critical, urgent, or impactful in the first instance. Ensuring all business-critical systems are backed-up and any related data retention requirement is adhered to. Ensuring a proper and full inventory of all IT hardware, software, and contracts are maintained Ensuring that the management of both Operational and Capital expense is carefully exercised where both are sensibly consumed. Responsible for the communication of high-level and confidential information pertaining to the business as needed. Ensuring the development and maintenance of IT-related documentation, including but not limited to Business recovery plan, systems Design documentation, troubleshooting guides, IT training material, presentation information etc. Responsible for the planning of IT related projects as well as meeting the IT requirements of other department projects, ensuring execution of same to strict deadlines Responsible for maintaining and promoting an on-going and effective rapport with the business and IT teams at all levels. LAN/WAN – ensuring the upkeep of the LAN/WAN connections by liaising with the internal network and telecommunication teams, as well as external Telecom providers. Purchasing and overseeing the installations of all IT hardware – laptops, desktops, printers, scanners etc, strictly within the confines of Operational and Capital allocations. Ensuring the maintenance and proper operation of the internal ‘Help-Desk’ system, ensuring related processes and procedures are followed Responsible for own schedule and organising own priorities primarily to best serve the IT business needs both locally and globally, as well as the priorities of the IT Team members. Additionally responsible for receiving trouble tickets and helping ITS customers to resolve IT-related issues/problems as and when needed. Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Site Director or Global IT Operations Manager.
