We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data products and their role in driving business value, as well as excellent communication and previous experience working as a Product Owner in large transformation programmes.
Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you will manage and optimise the data backlog to maximise the business value of the reports and data solutions delivered as part of the Business Transformation programme.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Responsibilities:
1. Define and prioritise data delivery roadmap, aligning with business goals and collaborating with stakeholders.
2. Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to deliver high-quality data products.
3. Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders using data-driven insights.
4. Continuously improve data products by collecting and analysing user feedback.
5. Convey strategy and vision for Data value stream and work with stakeholders to define business case and cost-benefit analysis.
6. Deliver value tied to business outcomes, prioritize initiatives for the next 3 months, and communicate progress to release.
7. Serve as primary stakeholder contact, identify product requirements, and ensure stakeholder updates.
8. Create and prioritize product backlog, collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead Sprint Reviews, motivate teams, manage budgets, and establish agile product ownership within the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 5+ years’ experience in a Product Owner and Data/Analytics role.
2. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
3. Hold a Professional Product Owner certification or willingness to obtain.
4. Strong understanding of data management, data analytics, and data visualization.
5. Strong leadership and communication skills with Agile/Scrum experience.
6. Insurance industry knowledge advantageous.
7. Outcome-focused product ownership with user story writing skills.
8. Collaborative approach with Scrum Master and delivery team.
9. Data-driven decision making and prioritization skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and change.
