We are exclusively representing a leading manufacturer of test and measurement equipment. They are looking to hire an Electronics Repair Technician to be based in their lab in Norwich.
The main responsibilities would be:
* To test and repair a wide variety of equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards.
* As required by the Production Team Leader, to assess/sign calibration certificates for defined products.
* Responsible for adherence to defined processes in assigned work area, including but not limited to; Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work or Engineering Drawings.
* Take part in the complex diagnosis and rework of products down to component level and record and/or escalate fault(s) to Team Leaders/Manufacturing Engineering/Metrology/Quality Engineer(s) as required.
* As required, partake in the creation, review and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures for both current and new products.
Education:
The ideal candidate will have qualifications similar to the below. We will however consider candidates who have relevant/equivalent on-the-job experience in the Electronics field.
* HND/HNC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (Analog Preferred)
* Degree in Electrical Engineering
Functional Knowledge:
* Use of Test and Measurement Equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Waveform Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
* In-depth understanding of electronic component theory and practical application and behavior
* RF Electronics Understanding/Experience is a significant benefit
