Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team for projects in and around the Midlands. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. The role will involve coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health and safety standards, conducting site inspections, and resolving on-site issues. Additionally, the Site Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting progress to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee site operations, ensuring efficient project delivery within budget and timescales
2. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements
4. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality and safety
5. Proactively solve on-site challenges, minimising delays and disruptions
6. Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and documentation
7. Liaise with clients, engineers, and senior management to ensure seamless project execution
Minimum Requirements:
1. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
2. CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
3. Full UK driving licence
4. Previous experience managing projects within a regulated water environment
5. Proven experience managing infrastructure, groundworks, or civil engineering projects
6. Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent organisational and project management abilities
8. Proficiency in health and safety compliance and site regulations
9. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
