About this Role
HospitalityOnCampus is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its kitchen team as Hospitality and Events Commis Chef.
Undertaking food preparation, production, and service within the HospitalityOnCampus team, the successful candidate will assist in delivering a broad range of hospitality, events, and dining services across campus, supporting internal and corporate business, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and service.
The post holder will work with the Head Chef, senior colleagues, and the wider team to assist with the preparation and delivery of services, with a passion for quality food and high standards, including:
* Catered conferencing and events
* Dinners and banqueting
* Weddings
* Support to food-led outlets within the department
The successful candidate will assist with event deliveries, dinner/banqueting service, fine dining, and other events, working with front-of-house colleagues to ensure efficient service, quality presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Applicants must have a Professional Cookery Qualification (minimum City and Guilds 706/1), relevant culinary skills, knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexibly across the week, including evenings and weekends.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours across 5 days, including evenings and weekends.

HospitalityOnCampus
This department manages hospitality, events, and dining across the campus, including venues like Manchester Museum and Whitworth Art Gallery. The department operates 7 days a week, hosting various events day and night.
