Job summary
Swanage Medical Practice is aninnovative and forward-thinking Practice on the Jurassic Coast. We are looking for a GP Partner (SalariedGP considered) to join our friendly and supportive team.
6- 8 sessions a week
Drawings/Sessional rate dependant on experience.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload of patients and be responsible for undertaking all clinical duties associated with working in general practice, in line with GMC and RCGP standards.
As a GP Partner you will be self employed and will also play an active role in the running of the Practice.
About us
We are based in our own Practice along the Jurassic Coast, serving our community of just under 11,000 patients. You will join a team of five GP partners, three Salaried GPs, ACPs, Pharmacists, Physician Associate, nursing team and supportive admin team.
We passionately believe in creating a friendly and supportive environment and believe in developing individuals in the Practice. We are a training Practice and have also established a mentoring system to support all clinicians, particularly helpful for recently qualified GPs.
We are part of the Purbeck Primary Care network and are embracing the opportunities that arise out of ARRS roles and Network funding.
We support the areas of special interest which our GPs have. These include Minor Surgery & Joint injections, Contraception, Research, Training and Frailty.

Job responsibilities
In accordance with an agreed job plan, the post holder will undertake a variety of duties including routine and urgent consultations at 15 minute intervals, telephone consultations at 10 minute intervals, home visits, dealing with queries, prescriptions and paperwork in a timely way.

1. Medical degree.

2. Current General Practice experience with up-to-date GMC appraisal/revalidation

3. -Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners or equivalent in training if approved by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
4. -Registered GP with the GMC (included on the GP Register).
5. -Included on GP Performers List.
6. -Possesses the right to work in the UK.
7. -Full driving licence, with use of own car.
Desirable
8. -Experience of developing services in a constantly changing environment.
9. -Knowledge of adherence to the CQC Fundamental Standards.
10. -Experience of using SystmOne
11. -Understanding of General Practice contracting, finance, service delivery and activity monitoring.
