Business Development Manager
£50,000 - £60,000 (up to £120,000 OTE) + Excellent Benefits

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of advancing drug discovery through innovative in vitro models. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in life sciences and a passion for fostering relationships within the pharma and biotech industries.
Position Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will:
Gain a deep understanding of the drug discovery industry, particularly in pre-clinical research.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key pharma and biotech accounts across the UK, Benelux, Italy, and the Rest of the World.
Ensure that existing deals are managed efficiently and closed within a timely manner.
Execute local prospecting campaigns using tools like Global Data, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and HubSpot to identify and generate new business opportunities.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales, the FAS team, and the Business Development team to expand the pipeline and achieve revenue targets.
Work closely with technical teams to oversee the scoping and completion of customer projects related to various models.
Embody the company’s values and maintain professionalism in all internal and external business interactions.
Key Requirements to be considered for the Business Development Manager position:
A minimum of 3 years of field sales experience in life sciences, specifically selling into pharma/biotech sectors.
A degree in life sciences or a related field.
Strong ability to work remotely, with flexibility to travel within the designated territories for field visits and conferences.
Proficiency in CRM systems such as HubSpot, and tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Excellent customer prospecting skills and the ability to effectively grow the sales pipeline.
