Main duties of the job Your role will centre on the delivery of specialist mental health support to older adults with mental illness who are requiring treatment and care in the community. There will also be a requirement to complete statutory social work duties on behalf of the local authority including the completion of Care Act Needs Assessments, Mental Capacity Act assessments and to provide social work support to people subject to the Court of Protection. This will be in the form of direct work and care coordination with people on caseload, providing duty support to those under the team and contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings both in house and with colleagues externally.
