In this role, you will: Deliver engaging and innovative Food Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, fostering a love of cooking and food in our students. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to experiment, create, and develop their culinary skills. Teach a variety of cooking techniques and food preparation methods, ensuring students gain a solid foundation in Food Technology. Incorporate theoretical knowledge of nutrition, food science, and food safety into your lessons, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of Food Technology. Assess students' practical skills and theoretical understanding through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods. Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring our teaching remains current and engaging. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Food Technology teaching. We are looking for a Food Technology Teacher who has: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field. Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. A passion for Food Technology and a commitment to inspiring students. A creative and engaging teaching style.
