Temporary Business Services Assistant /Admin – Children’s Services

Pay Rate: £12.94 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3-4 months
City: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
The purpose of the role is to provide a specialist administrative and operational service to social care professionals in Children’s Services, co-ordinating and facilitating the effective operation of the team, monitoring performance, ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance and promoting service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take an active role in delivering successful outcomes for children and families, including the planning and co-ordination of a range of activities to support the team’s performance and meet objectives, targets and timescales.
2. Be an expert administrator providing an efficient and courteous service to young people and wider stakeholders continually monitoring and reviewing administrative support systems and processes to improve service delivery.
3. Provide a high level of technical support and expertise in order to utilise and maximise ICT systems and technologies ensuring that the most efficient administrative processes and systems are in place.
4. Responsible for the provision and maintenance of accurate records and information management including confidentiality, compliance with the Data Protection Act, General Data Protection Regulation and Information Governance.
Qualifications:
1. Qualified to level 3 in business administration and/or relevant and substantial experience.
Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
2. Comprehensive knowledge and experience of relevant process or procedure, specialised equipment or software systems.
3. Excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong understanding of data management systems.
4. Ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and organise and prioritise tasks, and a commitment to high levels of customer care.
5. Knowledge of administrative practices and processes.
6. Understanding of data management systems with the ability to interpret, analyse and present data.
7. Experience working in a customer-focused and busy environment.
8. IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
