Logistics Operative / Controller with daily driving duties is required for a temp to permanent role in the Bristol area. £12.00/hr PAYE + excellent bens (see below), occasional O/T and potential career progression. The successful candidate will be working circa 37 hours (Mon – Fri Days).
Applicants must be organised, have recent stock control / logistics / goods in/out experience preferably in the Manufacturing / Engineering sector, full UK driving licence (pref clean), good communication skills (verbal and written), must be PC literate with recent experience of using stock control systems / software.

Objective:
Joining as a Logistics Controller / Operative, you will provide day-to-day administrative support, book equipment in / out and daily on-site driving duties.
The successful Engineering Stock Controller / Logistics / Driver day to day duties will include:
* To book equipment in and out using electronic database.
* Regular on-site (Bristol) pick-up / drop-off delivery duties.
* Weekly delivery run to Calibration Lab in East Midlands.
* Database entry of new equipment
* Packing / wrapping equipment in readiness for delivery back to customer.
* Moving equipment in stores.
* Arranging shipping to outside companies (via courier)
* Producing high quality documentation in a timely manner.
* Comply with company H&S guidelines and maintaining a tidy environment.
The ideal Controller / Logistics / Goods in / Driver role will have the following experience / characteristics:
* Familiarity with all logistics practices and handling methods.
* Strong administration skills, must be PC literate in MS Word, Excel, familiar with database management and report generation.
* Good attention to detail, strong organisation skills (tidy and organised workspace) and able to multitask
* Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
* Logical approach to problem solving, be self-confident and be able to work well within a team.
* Previous experience of being employed in a logistics / driving role for an engineering / manufacturing client.
* Be able to work with the minimum of supervision
* Full UK driving licence (ideally clean, 3 points max).
* Completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in engineering. (desirable)
* Experience of working for an Engineering, Manufacturing or Calibration company. (desirable)
* Good knowledge of mechanical and or electrical measuring equipment. (desirable)
