What will you be doing?
Responsible for theday to day administration of client matters involving, but not limitedto –
Self-employed and partnership accounts
Personal taxreturns and partnership tax returns, including for some high-net-worthindividuals
Statutory accounts preparation (FRS105 and FRS102(1a) mainly, some IFRS for UK subsidiaries of internationalgroups)
Corporate tax returns
Quarter-end VAT reviewsand in-year management accounts production
Tax and businessdevelopment planning around all of the above
Responsible foroverseeing more junior colleagues and assisting with theirdevelopment.
Interacting with the bookkeeping and payroll teammembers to ensure timely information transfer into summaryaccounts.
Interacting with colleagues in our financial planningsister business to aid provision of cohesive wealth planning advice bythat firm
Develop and maintain relationships with internal andexternal contacts at all levels.
Use your own initiative toresolve issues.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum of twoyears practice experience, preferably three, ideally within a generalpractice environment.
Iris / Sage 50 / Sage Online / QuickBooksCloud / Xero / Dext / Excel knowledge is desirable, but training willbe given.
Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of current taxlegislation.
Good IT skills
Excellent communicationskills (both written and oral).
Ability to meet tight deadlinesand work under pressure.
Good numeracyskills.
Demonstrates attention to detail and a high concern foraccuracy.
A good team player.
Minimum GCSE’s of C plusin Maths and English, with strong further results at GCSE and A-level(degree level education is not mandatory)
Drivinglicence
Ability to work between two offices on a varied clientbase
