As a growing school, we are excited to be advertising for an enthusiastic individual who is driven to help in further developing the curriculum and outcomes. Having STEM as separate lessons within the KS3 timetable allows for the Science curriculum to focus on content that is explored in ‘real life’ examples elsewhere in the curriculum. We are seeking an individual to join our community who has a love for their subject and a desire to remove barriers for students, and who will support in growing this department even further.
For the right candidate, we are also seeking an excellent practitioner to lead our ITT provision. This area is growing in our school, and we anticipate ITT to become a staple across all departments.
St Andrew’s is a school that has love at its core. You see it in the relationships across the entire community; both in the classrooms and the corridors; and in the excellent pastoral care that every student is given. We can say this with confidence due to the regular and ongoing feedback we seek from all stakeholders, ensuring that every member of the community has a voice in the school’s future. In this we exemplify our core Christian values that run through all that we do, both in daily life and in strategic development.
We have the highest expectations and aspirations for all members of our community, and accept nothing less than an individual’s best. We recognise that we are all unique, with unique training and developmental needs – and we aim to give every staff member the best CPD to enable them to reach their career goals, no matter what that goal may be.
It truly is an exciting time to join St Andrew’s. Whilst a uniquely impressive amount of growth and progress has been made in recent years, there is still so much impact to be made as the school continues to go from strength to strength.
