We are seeking enthusiastic Officers to join our skilled Planning Development Management Service and help shape our charming city, historic towns, villages and countryside. Our emerging Local Plan is ambitious and focussed on meeting the challenge of climate change. The roles of Senior Planning Officer, Planning Officer and Planning Support Officer and are ideal opportunities to embark on or broaden a career in planning. For the role of Senior Planning Officer we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced planner who can effectively manage a varied caseload planning applications including pre-application enquiries, complex planning applications, appeals and post application work and occasionally some planning enforcement. You must be a motivated and well organised worker with a positive outlook who is able to deliver good performance and high standards of customer care. Experience of Planning Committee and Appeals is required and the candidate will be a member of the RTPI or eligible for membership. A full clean driving licence is essential.
