SEND Caseworker - Statutory Assessment and Reviews
Remote with occasional school visits in East Yorkshire and attendance at annual review meetings.
Initially until the end of January 2025, with a strong possibility of extension until September 2025.
£280 per day (umbrella).
Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority in East Yorkshire that are seeking an experienced SEND Caseworker to manage statutory assessments and reviews for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will oversee an average caseload of approximately 200 cases, ensuring all statutory processes are followed and delivering positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate statutory EHC needs assessments and annual reviews.
* Attend school visits and annual review meetings as required.
* Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice.
* Build strong relationships with families, schools, and professionals to support collaborative working.
* Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with local authority requirements.
About You:
* Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of SEND statutory processes.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle a high caseload.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
* Flexibility to attend in-person school visits and meetings as needed.
