Alcombe Veterinary Surgery is looking for a passionate and experienced Practice Manager to join our friendly, dynamic team at our Whitton branch in Middlesex. As a key member of our first-opinion small animal practice, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional care to both our clients and their pets.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the seamless operation of our practice. As Practice Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving day-to-day efficiency and enhancing the overall client experience. This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 08:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Leadership and Team Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, manage and motivate a dedicated team of veterinary professionals, and ensure a positive work environment.
2. Manage budgets, financial reporting, and billing processes, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
3. Client Relationship Management: Maintain excellent client relations, ensuring a high standard of customer service and addressing any concerns promptly.
4. Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement procedures to optimise practice operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and patient flow.
5. Compliance and Standards: Ensure the practice adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and veterinary standards.
6. Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety protocols are followed, maintaining a safe environment for staff, clients, and animals.
7. Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges and find practical solutions to improve practice performance and client satisfaction.
About Alcombe Vets
Alcombe Vets, Whitton is a well-established first-opinion practice in the heart of a lovely neighbourhood. The clinic is well-connected, with great transport links, and is just a short walk from charming cafes and grocery stores.
The practice is equipped with a brand new dental x-ray, digital x-ray, ultrasound, a multiparameter machine, a microscope, and an in-house laboratory for diagnostics. We have two large consulting rooms, a bright reception area, and a spacious staff room with a kitchenette and couches for relaxing during breaks. We pride ourselves on having an excellent and loyal client base, and we value our relationships with them.

Alcombe Vets is an RCVS-accredited, nurse-training practice. You'll work alongside an experienced team of 1 Clinical Director, 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, and a dedicated receptionist team. We also benefit from regular visits by a specialist surgeon who provides orthopedic procedures.
