About the Role We’re seeking an Analytics Engineer to ensure our business has accurate, actionable, and up-to-date reporting through Looker. As part of the Data team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and evolving our analytics infrastructure, helping stakeholders make informed decisions that drive growth and improve operations. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you’ll manage and enhance our analytics infrastructure, ensuring data quality and building reliable reporting solutions tailored to the needs of the business. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Product and Engineering, to integrate new platforms, refine data pipelines, and translate stakeholder requirements into meaningful insights. Additionally, you’ll lead the charge in maintaining data governance standards and ensuring KPI definitions are well-documented and accessible. Key Responsibilities Maintain and evolve analytics infrastructure : Manage data pipelines, LookML models, and semantic layers to support accurate reporting. Optimise dashboards and ensure consistent KPI definitions in Looker. Deliver reporting solutions : Build and maintain scalable reporting frameworks. Collaborate with stakeholders to transform requirements into actionable insights. Ensure data quality and reliability : Implement testing frameworks and proactively monitor data accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies. Documentation and user support : Maintain clear documentation for analytics processes and KPI definitions. Support end users in accessing and understanding the data they need. Integrate and innovate : Lead the integration of new platforms into existing analytics systems. Contribute to improving internal processes and data practices. Collaborate cross-functionally : Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure relevant data sources are accessible. Define specifications for new data integrations. What We’re Looking For Technical Skills : Advanced proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation. Expertise in designing scalable data models and deep knowledge of data warehousing concepts. Extensive experience with Looker, including semantic layer optimization and dashboard development. Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR, and privacy best practices. Experience : Degree in a quantitative discipline. Extensive experience in a tech-focused startup or scale-up, with a proven track record of driving analytics transformation. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and medium-sized projects effectively. Soft Skills : Problem-solving mindset with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying technical concepts for diverse stakeholders. Growth-oriented, collaborative, and eager to improve processes and mentor others.
