The Head of Occupational Health will be an active member of Senior Workforce and OD team and the All Wales OH networks. You will be accountable for the strategic planning, organising and management of high quality, safe and effective services ensuring they are evidence based and measurable, and will play a key role in delivering on the all wales OH key performance indicators. Undertaking a lead role in designated service projects or programmes of work. Responsible and accountable for the planning, organising, management and the delivery of high quality, safe and effective services, ensuring they are evidence based and measurable. Provide expertise and professional leadership, having extensive knowledge of Occupational Health. Provide professional advice to managers within the UHB, external contractors and where appropriate, external agencies and employers. To lead and manage the provision of an efficient and effective professional Occupational Health service for all staff and to support the Director of Workforce and Organisational Development in implementing the University Health Board's (UHB) strategies and policies in relation to staff Occupational health. To set the direction for the Occupational Health service ensuring the current operational and strategic goals of the organisation are achieved by developing the service and improving team and individual performance through emphasis on the wellbeing of staff. To be responsible for the interpretation of national policies, procedures and compliance with UK and Welsh Government legislation and Health and Safety Executive requirements.
