About the role
As our Crewing Officer you will arrange crew changes for nominated vessels, plan the right seafarers to the right ships ensuring high standards of compliance. You will also provide important support to the crew such as ensuring crew deployments are conducted safely, efficiently and with a high priority on costs. In this role you will become fully familiar with the crewing (Shipmate) system as well as other systems such as OCIMF.
As we operate our vessels on 24-hour basis, 365 days of the year, there will be a requirement to respond at short notice and weekend working will be required.
As Crewing Officer, your responsibilities will include:
* Crew changes - Includes arranging travel / immigration, checking documents, updating supplier tracking sheets applying for documents CRA's/CECs), ensuring Fleet Personnel Email correctly managed, checking invoices, communicating with travelers / vessels / agents and all related matters.
* Travel Invoices Co-ordination
* Payroll reporting to Crewing Manager
* Financial reporting to Crewing Manager
* People reporting to Crewing Manager
* Shipmate Superuser
* Updating of the crewing records in such systems as OCIMF and the Shipmate system
* Uploading and checking that the correct documents are retained within the crewing systems.
* Arrange for Drug and Alcohol screening for company vessels
* Assist and provide information for incident investigations on assigned vessels
* Assist and be involved with Seafarer conferences as required
* Support annual review of procedures by feeding back to Crewing Manager
* Participation in audits as and when required.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Crewing Experience
* Understanding of documentation, SMS and OCIMF TMSA STCW MLC etc
* Strong organisational, communication and administrative skills
* Ability to respond to stakeholders in a positive and professional manner
* Numerate / Excel skills
* Good team player

* Continuously review activities and seek opportunities for continuous improvement, procedures, systems, activities.
* Seagoing certification is not a requirement but preferable.
* Must have the right to live and work in the U.K.
