You will play a key part in supporting our health and safety improvement programme and be expected to advise, encourage and train colleagues to work safely. Job Responsibility and Duties Include but not limited to: - Provide one to one or team coaching, practical advice and / or assistance to team members related to health, safety, or environmental issues - Assist in investigation of accidents, near misses, incidents & NDSB's - Continually assess Rick Assessments for validity and conformance - Complete Structured daily safety walks ensuring attendance of Team Leaders - Coach on Safety Best Practice Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: - Candidates should have knowledge of health, safety & environmental practices - Must be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to coach and mentor following training employees Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: - A relevant qualification would be an advantage (NEBOSH, IOSH) although training will be provided to equip the jobholder with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform this role to the standards required, this training programme will be determined following a training needs analysis has been carried out with the individual - Ability to work towards a safety qualification (NEBOSH / BSC L3) Pending the number of applications, the criteria for the position may be enhanced to facilitate shortlisting.
