About the role: Lead on the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive, complex, large-scale area-based regeneration programmes in a specific geographic area, working alongside business and resident communities to achieve transformative physical, social and economic change. Deputise for the Head of Area Regeneration and manage budget responsibilities of up to £1m capital and £200,000 revenue. Manage delivery and policy development relating to local economic development and recovery, supporting high streets and town centres, industrial and employment areas, housing and climate emergency in Walthamstow. INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY NEED APPLY EXTERNAL APPLICANTS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED >> Click here to download the Role Profile Key Responsibilities: Deliver a strategic and collaborative area-based approach to regeneration, including development of an evidence base, masterplanning and place-based strategies, working collaboratively with colleagues in Planning, Property, Culture, Employment and Business Growth and across the Council; managing and chairing Project and Programme Boards internally as well as externally with senior stakeholders. Manage Project Managers, Project Support Officers and Apprentices, work placements and graduates and contribute to the wider performance, management and diversity of the Area Regeneration team, contributing to a positive team culture. Supporting staff in their professional development within the built environment sector, striving for excellence, inclusion and diversity.
