About the role:
You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may not have had the best start in life. Students you will be working with will have additional needs which may include; ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Main duties:
* Support the class teacher in the day to day running and delivery of lessons
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis where required, helping them to stay focused and engage in their learning
* Assist in administrative tasks such as preparing resources and organising displays
* Assist in creating a positive learning environment
* Leading small group interventions
About you:
* You must have a clear passion for supporting young people, especially those with additional needs
* Patient, resilient, caring and hard-working
* Ability to get ‘stuck in’ and work well within a team
* Previous experience working with children is essential
* Flexibility to adapt to work across a variety of different subjects and with a variety of different students/classes
This role is perfect for university students, experienced TA’s looking for a new challenge or anyone wanting to work around their current schedule. You will be working term time only, Monday - Friday, typically between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm (depending on the specific school).
