Tasks and Qualifications:
Principal Accountabilities
1. Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals
2. To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
3. Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs
4. Prioritise system faults
5. To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times
6. To ensure quality of output at all times
7. To accurately record all work undertaken
8. Involvement in continuous improvement and sales opportunities
9. Maintain product flow at all times
10. To ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels
11. To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations
12. To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company
Knowledge & Experience Required
1. ONC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred)
2. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred)
3. A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings
4. Basic understanding of control systems and techniques
5. Basic understanding of PLC equipment
6. Working at height
7. Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems
8. PC literacy
9. Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules
Technical Competencies (Or Local Equivalents)
1. Ability to learn and retain technical information
2. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions
3. Have a logical approach to fault finding and resolution
4. Operate within a designed structure of pre-planned maintenance
